Planning a casino night in Nashville? Here’s the one question we get more than any other — and the honest answer that helps your event go smoothly.

If you’re planning a casino night party and you’ve started thinking about table rentals, you’ve probably asked yourself: how many tables do I actually need? Too few, and guests are standing around waiting for a seat. Too many, and half your tables sit empty all night.

After 25+ years of running casino events across Nashville — from backyard birthdays to 500-person corporate galas — we’ve worked out the answers. This guide breaks it all down simply, so you can plan with confidence.

The golden rule: 1 table per 20 guests

Here’s the baseline that works for almost every event:

Plan for one casino table for every 20 guests.

So if you’re expecting 60 people, 3 tables is your starting point. 100 guests? 5 tables. It sounds simple — because it is. But there’s nuance depending on which games you choose, how long your event runs, and whether your guests are experienced players or total beginners.

Let’s dig into that.

It depends on the game

Not all casino games move at the same pace, and that affects how many seats — and how many tables — you actually need.

Blackjack is the fastest game at the table. A dealer can run through hands quickly, which means seats turn over often. Blackjack tables comfortably seat 7 players, but in practice, you’ll rarely have all 7 glued to a seat at once. Great for high-energy events where guests like to drift in and out.

Roulette is the social game. The wheel spins slowly, everyone bets at once, and the table can handle 8–10 players without feeling crowded. It’s a crowd magnet — people gather around even when they’re not playing — so you may need slightly fewer roulette tables than you think.

Craps is loud, exciting, and draws a crowd. A craps table can involve up to 10–12 players at once, so one table goes a long way. It’s also the most theatrical game in the room — even spectators get caught up in the energy.

Texas Hold’em / Poker is the slowest game in terms of turnover. Hands take longer, players stay seated, and the table fills up. If poker is the centerpiece of your night, plan closer to 1 table per 8–10 active poker guests rather than the general 1-per-20 rule.

Party size quick reference

Use this as a starting point, then adjust based on your game mix:

GuestsRecommended tablesSuggested mix
20–402 tables1 Blackjack + 1 Roulette
40–603 tables2 Blackjack + 1 Craps or Roulette
60–1004–5 tables2 Blackjack + 1 Roulette + 1 Craps + 1 Poker
100–1506–7 tablesMix all four games; double up on Blackjack
150–200+8–10 tablesFull floor setup; we’ll help you design the layout

For very large events (200+ guests), we work with you directly to design the floor plan — table placement, dealer positioning, and flow all matter for big crowds.

What if not everyone will be playing?

That’s completely normal — and actually helps you.

At most casino nights, roughly 60–70% of guests are actively playing at any given moment. The rest are mingling, at the bar, getting food, or watching. That natural flow means you don’t need a seat for every single person at every single table.

If your event includes dinner, a presentation, or another activity alongside the casino, you can lean toward the lower end of table count. If the casino is the entertainment — no dinner, no speeches — lean toward the higher end to keep wait times low.

Don’t forget arcade games to fill gaps

One thing many hosts overlook: arcade and pinball machine rentals are the perfect complement to casino tables.

Arcade games serve guests who aren’t playing casino games — whether that’s people who want a break, guests who prefer something more casual, or the occasional person who just isn’t a card game fan. They also help manage the natural ebb and flow of a party.

Our arcade inventory includes classics like Pac-Man, Galaga, Street Fighter, Donkey Kong, and more. Pinball machines themed around Game of Thrones, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, and others are also available. Adding 2–3 arcade games to any event keeps energy up across the whole room, not just at the casino tables.

Glow casino: same math, different atmosphere

If you’re considering our Glow Casino option — LED-lit blackjack, roulette, and craps tables — the same table-per-guest ratio applies. The glow setup works especially well for evening events, bachelorette parties, and corporate nights where you want the space to feel more like a venue than a backyard.

Pair the glow tables with our LED dance floor and you’ve got a full entertainment setup without a DJ or band.

How to get the right number for your event

The honest answer is: a quick conversation with us will get you there faster than any formula.

Tell us:

  • How many guests you’re expecting
  • What kind of event it is (birthday, corporate, fundraiser, bachelorette, etc.)
  • How long you’re planning for the casino portion to run
  • Whether you want dealers who teach as they go (great for beginners) or experienced fast-pace dealers

From there, we’ll give you an exact recommendation and a custom estimate — no obligation, no pressure.
